The CD originated from a live performance and is made through improvisation with electronic instruments-sampler, drum machine and bass triggered synth. Loosely organised sounds and musical processes serve as starting points. In producing this collection audible 3 have tried to retain a sense of the open-ended exploration that drives their work. The audio signals from the group are passed thru a series of delay & panning effects, creating a homogenous, sweeping drone of regenerating sound that becomes the foundation for the piece. Sometimes the process dominates with dense, moving walls of audio or subsides to a faint horizon of haze while a more organic clatter or concrete mutation takes over for a while. Features music + dialog from Florian Habichts' digital feature film. Vocals by Warwick Broadhead, Mardi Potter + Steve Abel. Includes Steve Abel's "Hospice for Destitute Lovers" + Killer Ray's "Hi De Hi De Ho". Most of the music was created from samples of accordian + trumpet, also drums. Beautiful cello was performed + composed by Edward Hanfling. Florian wrote the lyrics, which were sourced from fairy tales, in fact the film is a musical fairy tale. See Pictures For Anna website.

Transient Response #2 is a collaborative work recorded live beside railway tracks in Newmarket, Auckland (NZ)... with Dean Roberts, playing cello + percussion.
